The Telegraph reported yesterday on a story of how a gang of hoodlums terrorized a train full of passengers travelling to the French Riviera to celebrate the New Year. The article says: "One young woman was sexually assaulted, travellers were robbed of phones and cash, and carriages were wrecked in the two-hour assault, it emerged yesterday." What is particularly appalling about this story is the lack of adequate police response and the fact that it appears to have been covered up. See Winds of Change who notes that the passengers did not try to fight off the attackers and that the event only emerged after a German paper published the story.
